What the extension does with your data

Sold Elsewhere gives you a private email address. You choose which emails to forward to it with a Gmail filter, normally only "you made a sale" emails from marketplaces.

When a forwarded email arrives, our server reads it once to find the marketplace, item title and price. We store only those three things. We do not keep the email itself, its body, or any buyer names, addresses or contact details.

We also store the inventory you type in or add from your own listing pages: titles, bin locations, SKUs, costs and listing links.

Usage statistics

To improve the product we count a few anonymous things: which pages of this website are visited and which link brought the visitor (for example ?ref=reddit), and in the extension which features are used (for example "opened setup", "clicked End on Poshmark"). These counts have no cookies, no IP addresses and no names. If you uninstall, Chrome opens a one-question survey; answering is optional.

Deleting data automatically

If you uninstall the extension, your account and its data are deleted automatically after 90 days (sooner if you ask).

What we never do

Accounts

There's no sign-up form. The extension creates an anonymous account identified by a random key stored in your browser.

Permissions

Service providers

Cloudflare (hosting and email receiving). Payments are handled by Stripe as merchant of record. We never see your card. We store only your Stripe customer and subscription IDs so we know your plan.

Deleting your data

In the extension: Setup → "Delete my data". This permanently removes your account, inventory and alerts. Uninstalling the extension and stopping the Gmail filter stops all data collection. Questions: hello@soldelsewhere.com.
